So where so you find such photos in a city like Chennai?
Practically everywhere as Chennai is a vast city with plenty to offer, but you need to start somewhere right?

Let’s get going shall we, starting the list off with a bang Armenian Chennai is first on the list.
Armenian Church
The famously known Armenian church or Saint Mary Church of Chennai was constructed in 1712 and reconstructed in 1772 and is one of the oldest churches of the Indian subcontinent. So what does this old architecture mean for you? Stunning photos of course. If you are looking to take old school rustic photos this is the place for you.
Timings: 9:30 am-2:30 pm (Monday-Sunday) public holidays might affect the timings.
RTO BEACH (Thiruvanmiyur)
Beaches by themselves are a perfect place for photography, combine that with the advantage of the place not being crowded, you get the perfect setting for a perfect shot. The RTO side of the Thiruvanmiyur beach is never very crowded which provides a perfect opportunity to capture the sea, be it during the yellow sunrise, the orange evening, or even the perfect blue of the noon.
PONDY BAZAAR
Are you are looking to take some cool blue night photography in the streets of Chennai?
Then Pondy Bazar is the perfect spot for you. During the early hours of the day (12:00 am-3:00 am) the symmetrical and well-lit streets of Pondy Bazaar provide a perfect environment for night photography.
HIDDEN LAKE
The Hidden Lake is truly a hidden gem of Chennai for photography. With it’s rocky cliffs and wild flora you have a perfect backdrop for your portrait photos. It’s a great place to relax, take in the scenery and capture the calmness the lake provides.
ENNORE HARBOUR
Although taking pictures in a harbor is strictly prohibited the road that runs along the coast from ETPS pier to Bharathiyar Nagar beach gives some great spots for photography. The abandoned yachts and boats are my personal favorites, as you can sense from the picture above of me chilling in one.
THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY
Theosophical Society in Chennai is one of the places where one can relax and connect with nature. It has various temples and churches in it which provide great scenes waiting to be captured. So if you want to capture the calmness in the midst of this busy city this is a great place for that.

PULICAT LAKE
This beautiful place in the northern part of Chennai is a true gem for photography. If you take a short boat ride through the lake towards the sea it would get you to a small piece of land between the lake and sea, with sand so crisp, you are can have a serene walk while capturing the pics of your dreams. Its a perfect place if you want to take portraits of your model or even just capture the immeasurable sea.
